Bio-Tech Environmental Services Philippines, Inc., together with De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, successfully launched Dengue Patrol in the different barangays surrounding De La Salle Campuses last September 15, 2011. Misting was done using water-based formulation to kill adult mosquitoes and mosquito larvicide was applied to all possible mosquito breeding places like old tires, gutters, discarded bottles and containers with stagnant or clean water.

The community service was conducted in response to the rising dengue cases in Metro Manila and is aimed at increasing dengue awareness among the residents in the area as well as to stress the importance of sanitation as a preventive action against dengue. Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is transmitted by the bite of the mosquitoes Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictusmosquito infected with any one of the four distinct, but closely related dengue viruses of the family Flaviviridae.

Currently, vector control is the available method for dengue and DHF prevention. When everything else fails, you can always trust Bio-Tech Environmental for safe and environment-friendly pest control services. We are the defenders of the modern lifestyle.
